Our Director

A little information about me! This is my 23nd year in education. Throughout my career in education, I have had experiences of teaching elementary and middle school students in North and South Carolina. While in North Carolina, I also taught Drivers Education in an afterschool setting. In addition to teaching, I coached baseball, football and basketball. I spent nine years in the classroom and then moved on to school leadership and administration. I was an assistant principal for five years before becoming a principal for four years. This will be my fourth year as the Director of Adult Education.

Academically, I attended Limestone College in Gaffney, South Carolina. While there, I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. After five years teaching, I pursued and earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Furman University. During my time as an Assistant Principal, I decided to go back to school for my Doctorate Degree. After three years of classes and writing my dissertation, I earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Gardner Webb University.

Outside of school, I am happily married to my wife Heather who is also an educator. We have two kids that keep us busy. Brooks is 5 and Mary Kate is 12. Our family lives on a farm that includes 14 cows. We attend Bethesda United Methodist Church in Easley, SC.
